General Manager (GM) – Plastic Manufacturing

Job Summary
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overall leadership and performance of plastic manufacturing operations. The role oversees production, quality, supply chain, sales coordination, cost control, and workforce management to ensure efficient operations, profitability, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of plastic manufacturing facilities.
Plan and control production, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
Ensure product quality standards and implement continuous improvement systems.
Manage raw material procurement, inventory, and supply chain coordination.
Control operational costs, budgets, and production KPIs.
Oversee maintenance of machinery (extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, etc.).
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
Lead, develop, and manage departmental managers and staff.
Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to meet market demand.
Prepare operational, financial, and performance reports.

Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
MBA or Master’s degree in Operations/Management is preferred.

Experience
Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing.
At least 5 years in a senior management role within the plastic industry.
Proven experience in plastic production processes and factory management.

Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes and quality systems.
Experience in cost control, budgeting, and operational planning.
Leadership and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Good communication and reporting skills.

Other Requirements
Willingness to work on-site.
Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.
Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001 / 14001) is preferred.
