Job Description
African Parks Network Ethiopia is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and full compliance with international standards. The Finance Manager will manage accounting processes, budgeting, cash flow, assets, payroll, and audits while providing financial guidance, training, and leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Reporting
Maintain efficient and compliant financial information systems.
Review accounting transactions, vouchers, invoices, and journal entries.
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly.
Supervise monthly and yearly closings and reporting.
Prepare periodic financial performance reports for management.

Treasury and Cash Management
Prepare monthly cash flow projections and monitor fund availability.
Reconcile disbursement accounts, intercompany accounts, petty cash, and bank balances.

Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting
Support budget preparation and forecasting processes.
Monitor departmental budgets and recommend improvements.
Provide cost data for program and operational decisions.

Fixed Asset Management
Conduct annual inventory of fixed assets.
Ensure accurate depreciation and protection of assets.
Manage the disposal of obsolete or damaged equipment.

Internal Control
Review and strengthen internal controls for accuracy and asset protection.

Payroll
Oversee payroll systems and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Review and sign off monthly payroll records.

Due Diligence and Audit
Coordinate external audits and prepare financial statements.
Ensure audit recommendations are implemented promptly.

Job Requirements
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 9 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years in a senior position.
Strong understanding of accounting and management principles.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Proven leadership and decision-making abilities.
