Medical Teams International is seeking a Finance Intern (Female Only) to support finance and administrative operations in line with organizational policies and donor requirements. The role supports internal controls, payroll, reporting, and coordination with HR and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure payment requisitions are complete, accurate, correctly coded, and authorized before payment.
Assist payroll preparation by compiling absences, new appointments, separations, and sick leave data.
Manage office cash with secure custody, accurate records, and timely replenishment requests.
Maintain transaction records and prepare monthly reconciliations.
File and archive finance vouchers and records properly.
Coordinate HR-related activities including onboarding, job postings, CV processing, attendance, timesheets, and performance follow-ups.
Support preparation of project and financial reports and provide guidance on financial policies to non-finance staff.
Verify asset registers with logistics and ensure compliance with MTI policy.
Ensure statutory deductions and remittances are completed on time.
Promote safeguarding, code of conduct compliance, and a harassment-free workplace.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Accounting).
Fresh graduates with a GPA of 3.7 or above.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic knowledge of non-profit accounting, payroll, and voucher processing.
Desirable experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage or Unit4.
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft tools including Teams.
Clear communication skills with the ability to explain financial procedures.
High accuracy, organization, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Working Conditions
Frequent travel to remote health facilities with basic living conditions may be required.
