Position: Field Security and Safety Coordinator

The Field Security and Safety Coordinator will support the Country Security Manager (CSM) by ensuring effective security measures for Response Office programs. This role is responsible for optimizing organizational security, mitigating operational risks, and acting as the CSM in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement Response Office security strategy, ensure security risk assessments, country risk ratings, and core security requirements are met.
- Security Operations: Conduct risk assessments, maintain country risk ratings, implement core security requirements, manage crisis situations, and conduct investigations.
- Networking & Liaison: Represent WV in NGO security networks and disseminate information to relevant staff.
- Capacity Building: Develop and implement national office security management training and capacity building plans, promoting a culture of security awareness.
- Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular security reports, ensure incident reporting compliance, review performance of field security staff, and analyze security data.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or MSc degree in Police/Law Enforcement Training or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with UN Agencies/NGOs and field security.
- Experience in high-risk/security environments.
- Proficiency with radio and satellite communications.
- Training and leadership experience in security operations.
- First Aid qualified; valid passport and driver’s license.
- Strong professional and ethical standards aligned with World Vision Core Values.
- Proficiency in English and local language (Af Somali).
