External Relations Assistant

Job Summary
China Communication Construction Company is seeking a skilled External Relations Assistant to manage communication and relationships with local government bodies, community representatives, and other stakeholders. The role ensures smooth coordination for project operations, land acquisition, and community engagement, supporting a stable construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain daily communication and information exchange with local government departments, village committees, regulatory agencies, and community representatives
• Assist with project-related government procedures, including land coordination, land use permits, construction permits, and security communication
• Support handling of local resident requests, compensation discussions, land acquisition coordination, and dispute mediation
• Organize and document community and coordination meetings, including taking minutes and following up on outcomes
• Collect, organize, and provide feedback on local policies, regulations, community dynamics, and potential risks
• Assist project teams in communication with local suppliers, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure smooth cooperation
• Provide translation support for Chinese management (Amharic/Oromo/English) to ensure accurate communication
• Complete other external relations tasks assigned by the department manager, including emergency handling and external receptions

Job Requirements
• College-level education
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Proficiency in English, Amharic, and Oromiffa
• Familiarity with land acquisition processes and government liaison procedures

Required Skills and Competencies
• Adaptability in dynamic work environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills
• Quality control awareness
• Practical problem-solving ability
