Job Overview:
The Exterior Process Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the external areas of the LNG plant, including gas treatment, liquefaction, and storage tanks. The role supports facility operations by monitoring equipment, performing field inspections, and responding to process upsets or emergencies according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of field process equipment (pumps, compressors, separators, valves, heat exchangers, flare systems, etc.).
- Safely operate and monitor production and utility systems according to SOPs.
- Assist in the startup and shutdown of equipment and systems following precise operating procedures.
- Monitor process parameters (pressure, temperature, flow) and promptly report deviations or abnormalities to the Control Room Operator.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a plant, preferably in a chemical production plant.
- Strong understanding of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Knowledge of process safety and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors, including in hot environments.
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with DCS (Distributed Control System) operations and field instrumentation preferred.
