ECCE Project Coordinator

About the Organization

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organization that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. For over 85 years, the organization has been a global leader in advocating for justice and equity, reaching children in more than 80 countries. We believe in the power and potential of every child, yet we recognize that this potential is often suppressed by the systemic barriers of poverty, violence, exclusion, and discrimination.

Our work is driven by the conviction that girls are often the most affected by these global challenges. Therefore, we strive for a world where children’s rights are supported from birth until adulthood. Plan International enables children to prepare for and respond to crises while driving significant changes in policy at local, national, and global levels. By harnessing our extensive reach and deep knowledge, we aim to tackle the root causes of the challenges faced by vulnerable children.

The culture at Plan International is one of inclusivity and determination. We foster an environment rich in diverse thoughts and ideas, ensuring that every team reflects the communities we serve. Our commitment to racial justice, gender equality, and girls’ rights is at the heart of our operations. We operate as a community of “determined optimists” who refuse to stop until equality is achieved for everyone, regardless of their background or identity.

Professional growth at Plan International involves engaging with complex, high-impact projects that require both technical mastery and emotional intelligence. Staff are empowered to take ownership of their roles, contributing to a global network of experts dedicated to social change. We provide a platform for professionals to influence international practice and policy, ensuring that their work has a lasting legacy in the lives of children and young people.

Equality, diversity, and inclusion are not just values we promote externally; they are the bedrock of our workplace. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all participants and staff. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct and are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding. By joining Plan Ethiopia, you are joining an organization that puts its principles into practice every single day to keep children safe and empowered.
