Job Description
The Dispenser will be responsible for sorting, classifying, labeling, and shelving essential drugs in the pharmacy outlet. The role involves dispensing drugs according to prescriptions, preserving stock against deterioration, and ensuring proper documentation. The candidate will also weigh and measure drugs, prepare and affix labels with usage instructions, secure special drugs, and maintain temperature-sensitive medications appropriately. Advising users on proper drug usage and performing other related duties assigned by the Pharmacy Head are also part of the role.

Duties and Responsibilities
Sorts, classifies, labels, and shelves essential drugs of the outlet. Dispenses essential drugs according to prescriptions. Preserves drug stock of the outlet against deterioration. Keeps dispensed prescriptions documented and preserved. Weighs and measures drugs and fills bottles or containers according to instructions. Prepares and affixes labels with administration instructions. Keeps prescriptions and special drugs locked. Performs clerical activities related to drug management. Preserves temperature-sensitive drugs in a refrigerator and regularly records temperature. Advises users on how to take or apply drugs. Performs other related duties assigned by the Pharmacy Head.

Job Specification
Educational Requirement: Degree or College Diploma as a Pharmacist/Druggist, or TVET Diploma in Pharmacy Technology with 0–2 years of experience; or Certificate as a Nurse/Health Assistant with 2 years of experience in drug dispensing.
