Job Description
The Cleaner will maintain the hygiene, safety, and general upkeep of MSF guest houses and staff facilities. This role ensures that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and functionality, supporting both staff and organizational operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, restrooms, kitchens, and other areas in MSF facilities.
  • Performing laundry, ironing, and other housekeeping tasks.
  • Supporting kitchen activities such as washing up and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors.
  • Restocking supplies including toilet paper, soap, and drinking water.
  • Preparing hot water for tea/coffee and ensuring water availability during shortages.
  • Securing premises, including doors and windows.
  • Monitoring equipment, supplies, and reporting issues to the line manager.
  • Ensuring timely changing of bed sheets and towels.
  • Observing MSF safety protocols and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Performing other tasks assigned by the supervisor to ensure smooth operations.

Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Grade 10 completion.

Work Experience

  • Essential: At least 2 years of professional cleaning experience.
  • Desirable: Experience as a cleaner in the hospitality industry or international households.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of English and local language.
  • Commitment to MSF principles and service orientation.
  • Teamwork, behavioral flexibility, and ability to manage stress.
  • Ability to deliver quality work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
