Job Description and Strategic Impact
The Production Warehouse Manager and Product Quality Manager roles are critical to our mission in Ethiopia. These positions are not merely about oversight; they are about safeguarding our “License to Operate” and ensuring that our high-quality seeds reach the farmers who need them most. By managing the bridge between production and the final consumer, these roles directly influence the reliability of the regional food supply chain.
As a Production Warehouse Manager, your strategic impact lies in the precision of inventory and safety. You will lead HSE efforts and coordinate all warehouse activities to meet seed availability goals while preserving product quality. Your leadership ensures that every bag of seed is accounted for and handled with the highest safety standards, maintaining the integrity of our brand from the warehouse floor to the field.
The Product Quality Manager serves as a primary point of contact for quality initiatives, collaborating across mission teams to deliver supply reliability. By adopting a “pull approach,” you will drive the needs of the mission teams to nurture growth plans in Ethiopia. This role is vital for navigating the regulatory framework and ensuring that our products exceed customer specifications and legal standards.
A day in the life of these roles involves high-level problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the implementation of digital production systems like onePSS. You will find yourself at the heart of operational excellence, whether you are conducting risk assessments, leading a quality release team, or analyzing metrics to recommend systemic improvements.
Career development at Bayer is a journey of constant advancement. In these roles, you will gain exposure to global quality standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 45001) and cutting-edge SAP inventory management. We empower our managers to lead with informal authority and strategic autonomy, preparing you for senior leadership opportunities within our expansive global network.
