About the Position
The Logistics Manager oversees and coordinates all logistics operations to support MSF medical activities, ensuring smooth project implementation and adherence to MSF standards.
Main Responsibilities
Assist Project/Logistics Coordinators in planning logistics needs; oversee logistics and technical operations including construction, transport, fleet, facilities, equipment, communications, and water & sanitation; ensure proper supply chain and stock management; manage administrative logistics tasks (orders, insurance, vehicle contracts); lead and coach logistics staff, support HR processes and training; maintain communications tools awareness; support security measures and contingency planning; review logistics performance bi-monthly; implement rehabilitation works in outreach locations; update financial forecasts with Finance; contribute to monthly and annual reporting and planning.
Project-Specific Responsibilities
Ensure strict adherence to supply processes; coordinate with construction manager and Dubti General Hospital; lead logistics needs assessment for annual budget review; support carbon-reduction initiatives with EH Manager; ensure quality and efficient use of MSF resources.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering; Electro-Mechanical/Mechanical Engineering; Computer & Electronics Engineering; Civil Engineering; Logistics Management.
Experience
Minimum 3 years managerial logistics experience or 5 years as logistics supervisor; strong experience in supply chain, stock management, fleet management, hospital premises and facilities maintenance; NGO/MSF experience desirable; developing-country experience preferred.
Technical & Language Skills
Proficiency in logistics operations and facility management; strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); fluent English; local languages are an asset.
