The Danish Refugee Council seeks a Consortium Manager to lead a multi-partner project supporting communities affected by forced displacement in Ethiopia and Sudan. The role oversees strategy, coordination, delivery, and compliance while ensuring strong collaboration with partners, authorities, and donors.
The Manager provides strategic direction, leads an integrated project team, ensures quality implementation, and maintains a unified technical approach across the consortium. The position also serves as the primary contact for the donor, manages risks, and ensures learning and adaptation throughout the project.
Key responsibilities include leading project delivery, managing the Consortium Management Unit, ensuring partner coordination, serving as secretary to the Steering Committee, maintaining stakeholder relationships, overseeing performance and reporting, and ensuring safety and security measures are applied.
Education
Degree in political science, international development, social work, humanitarian law, migration, or a related field.
Experience
Minimum 7 years in international humanitarian or development work, including experience in consortium or project management. At least 3 years of people management. Proven work with multi-location, multi-partner programs in complex contexts. Strong expertise in relevant technical areas such as inclusive systems, gender, protection, resilience, or peacebuilding. Demonstrated skills in project management, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Ability to maintain productive relationships with government, donors, and partners.
Languages
Fluency in English required; Amharic, Arabic, or French is an added advantage.
