Job Description
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is seeking a Protection Officer to lead protection activities in Humera. The officer will oversee protection monitoring, case management, and psychosocial support for displacement-affected communities while ensuring compliance with NRC’s protection strategy and humanitarian standards.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise day-to-day implementation of protection projects and field teams.
Provide individual protection counseling and manage protection cases.
Conduct protection assessments, monitoring, and data collection.
Deliver training and mentorship for staff, partners, and local authorities.
Collaborate with other NRC programs to ensure integrated protection responses.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in protection, legal aid, or humanitarian programs.
Strong understanding of Ethiopian law and protection principles.
Excellent leadership, reporting, and communication skills.
