Position Overview
The Finance Coordinator – Budgeting and Reporting will lead financial planning, donor reporting, audits, compliance, and budget management for IRC Ethiopia. The role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, coordination of project budgets, financial analysis, and support for monthly and year-end closures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project and operating budget development, review, and forecasting.
- Ensure donor and IRC compliance in all budgets and reports.
- Prepare and review donor financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor budget utilization, variance analysis, and spending forecasts.
- Maintain accurate project budget tracking and pipeline analysis.
- Support audits, donor reconciliations, and grant closures.
- Manage liquidity and fund transfers, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Support staff capacity-building in budgeting and reporting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or Finance required.
- Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in budgeting, reporting, and donor compliance, preferably with INGOs/NGOs.
- Strong knowledge of donor reporting (UN, EU, GAC, SIDA, FCDO, USG, etc.).
- Advanced Excel and financial software skills (Microsoft Dynamics 360 ERP, PBI).
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
