For more than five decades, COOPI has worked across numerous countries to support vulnerable communities through emergency response, recovery, resilience-building, and sustainable development programs.

COOPI began operations in Ethiopia in 1995 and has since become a trusted humanitarian partner supporting communities affected by conflict, displacement, climate-related challenges, and economic vulnerability. Currently, COOPI manages multiple projects across Ethiopia in sectors including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Emergency Shelter and Non-Food Items (ESNFI), Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), Energy, Food Security, Livelihoods, Nutrition, and Protection. These interventions reach thousands of beneficiaries in different regions of the country.

Job Description and Strategic Impact

COOPI Ethiopia is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join its operations in Jimma, Oromia Region. The available positions support critical project implementation, financial management, compliance, logistics, and administrative functions that ensure the success of humanitarian and development programs.

The selected candidates will play an important role in maintaining strong financial accountability, effective project administration, donor compliance, and operational efficiency. Their contributions will directly support program delivery and organizational effectiveness.

Job Positions and Requirements
  1. Project Administrator

Educational Qualification: University Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

Work Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant experience with international NGOs in a similar position.

Job Location: Jimma, Oromia Region.

Salary: Gross Salary ETB 64,323 plus 30% Hardship Allowance.

Salary: Gross Salary ETB 55,933 plus 30% Hardship Allowance.

Employment Type and Compensation

Both positions are offered on a full-time basis with an initial contract duration of six months. Contract extension may be considered based on employee performance and the availability of project funding.

COOPI offers competitive salary packages that reflect the responsibilities of each position and the experience required. In addition to the base salary, employees will receive a hardship allowance equivalent to 30 percent of the gross salary.
