About the Organization
Right To Play Ethiopia is a prominent member of a global organization that reaches millions of children each year in some of the most challenging environments on earth. Established in 2000, our mission is to protect, educate, and empower children to rise above adversity using the power of play. We harness play—one of the most fundamental forces in a child’s life—to teach critical skills, dismantle barriers, and help children heal from trauma and overcome prejudice.
With programs running in 14 countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, we are supported by a robust network of global offices in major cities like Toronto and London. Our approach is experiential and child-centered, ensuring that the next generation has the tools they need to thrive in learning and in life. We believe that by creating a safe space for play, we are building the foundation for a more equitable and peaceful world.
Our organizational culture is defined by a unique “Culture Code” that encourages us to accept everyone, make things happen, display courage, and demonstrate care. We are intentional about inclusion and strive to lead and innovate in every project we undertake. Above all, we value playfulness, believing that work should be engaging and fun while remaining deeply impactful for the communities we serve.
At Right To Play, we promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We recognize that our strength lies in the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of our team members, which allows us to better understand and serve the diverse needs of children worldwide. We are committed to fostering a workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day.
We actively encourage women and individuals from historically disadvantaged groups to apply for our positions. As a child-centered organization, we offer a family-friendly environment with flexible work arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. We believe that by championing diversity within our own walls, we set a powerful example for the children and communities we support.
