Job Description and Strategic Impact

The diverse roles at Berhan Insurance are essential to the company’s dual goals of operational efficiency and market expansion. Branch Managers (Levels I and III) serve as the frontline leaders, responsible for growing the customer base in Addis Ababa and ensuring that insurance operations meet the company’s high service standards. These managers have a direct impact on the company’s profitability and its reputation within the local business community.

Technical and administrative support roles, such as the Content and Graphics Officer II and the Legal Division Manager, provide the specialized infrastructure needed for a modern insurance firm. The Legal Division Manager ensures that the company is protected against risk and operates within the legal frameworks of the Ethiopian insurance market, while the Graphics Officer shapes the brand’s visual identity as it expands into new regions. Even support staff like Secretaries and Messengers play a vital role in maintaining the seamless flow of communication and office logistics.

The strategic impact of these positions is measured by the company’s ability to scale without losing its focus on quality. By hiring experienced legal and management professionals, Berhan Insurance mitigates the risks associated with rapid growth. Meanwhile, the investment in creative and secretarial talent ensures that the Head Office can support an increasing number of branches effectively.

Career development within Berhan Insurance is robust, offering a path from senior officer roles to supervisory and eventually division-level management. For example, a Senior Legal Officer can transition into a Division Manager role, or a high-performing Senior position holder can move into Branch Management. This internal mobility ensures that the company’s institutional knowledge is preserved while providing employees with a clear and motivating career trajectory.

Ultimately, every member of the Berhan Insurance team contributes to the company’s mission of providing peace of mind to its clients. Through dedicated service and professional integrity, the staff ensures that Berhan remains a trusted name in general insurance across Ethiopia.
