Since its founding in 1951, IOM has navigated the complex landscape of global movement, acting as a vital bridge between governmental policy and human reality. As a key member of the United Nations system, IOM is not merely a service provider but a strategic architect of migration management frameworks that support safety, dignity, and legal regularity across the globe.

In Ethiopia, IOM’s presence is foundational to the country’s migration governance. The organization operates at the intersection of humanitarian response and institutional development, working hand-in-hand with national agencies to modernize border management and protect vulnerable populations. You will be responsible for designing the curricula and strategies that will train the next generation of immigration officers and law enforcement professionals. This work ensures that international standards of human rights and border security are woven into the very fabric of national training academies, creating a sustainable model for professional excellence.

The National Programme Support role serves as the operational engine behind our most vital projects.
