Job Description and Strategic Impact

The roles of Branch Manager, Operation Supervisor, and Customer Service Officers are the lifeblood of Hijra Bank’s expansion strategy. As we continue to grow our footprint in key regions like Degehabur, Harar, and Dire Dawa, these positions serve as the primary interface between the bank and the communities we serve. These are not just operational roles; they are leadership positions that require a deep understanding of ethical banking and a commitment to driving financial inclusion at the grassroots level.

The Branch Manager and Operation Supervisor roles are strategically vital for maintaining the operational integrity and profitability of our new and existing branches. These leaders are responsible for implementing the bank’s growth strategies, ensuring compliance with Sharia principles, and fostering a culture of excellence within their teams. Their impact is felt in the trust they build with local businesses and the efficiency with which they deliver life-changing financial products to our customers.

For our Customer Service Officers, a “day-in-the-life” involves more than just processing transactions; it is about financial education and empowerment. You will be the first point of contact for many individuals entering the formal banking system for the first time. By providing professional, empathetic, and expert guidance, you help our customers navigate their financial journeys with confidence. Your role is essential in building the long-term relationships that define Hijra Bank’s reputation for reliability and customer care.

These positions offer significant career development opportunities within the fast-growing interest-free banking sector. Employees at Hijra Bank are exposed to unique financial models and digital banking innovations that are setting new benchmarks in Ethiopia. As the bank scales, those who demonstrate leadership, agility, and a commitment to our core values will find ample opportunities to move into senior management and specialized corporate roles.

By joining Hijra Bank in these capacities, you are making a strategic contribution to the national economy. Your work helps bridge the gap for the marginalized and unbanked, providing them with the tools they need to succeed in their business and personal lives. You aren’t just working for a bank; you are working for a vision of an inclusive, ethical, and prosperous Ethiopia. We provide the platform, the technology, and the support—you provide the talent and the drive to make it happen.
