Job Description
The Finance Head will lead and manage all financial operations of CCE, ensuring the organization’s resources are effectively utilized and accounted for. This strategic leadership role involves financial planning, budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance management. The Finance Head will provide financial guidance to senior management, support decision-making processes, and ensure transparency and accountability across all financial functions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Ensuring financial management practices are aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinating external audits and liaising with auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Providing financial analysis and strategic guidance to support program planning and decision-making.
  • Managing cash flow, grants, and donor funding with integrity and accountability.
  • Developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Educational Qualification

  • MA or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional professional certifications such as CPA or CMA will be an advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a senior or managerial finance role.
  • Experience in NGO, private sector, or faith-based institutions is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, audit coordination, and compliance management.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management standards, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent financial analysis, reporting, and planning skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Amharic is required.
  • Commitment to ethical standards, safeguarding, and transparency.
  • Ability to work strategically while ensuring meticulous attention to detail.

Job Location
Addis Ababa, National Office. The role may occasionally involve travel for audits or financial coordination purposes.
