Job Description
The McCain Global Leaders Program 2026 is a fully funded, 12-month leadership development fellowship designed for mid- to senior-career professionals. The program will run from June 2026 to May 2027 and will include both virtual and in-person engagements across multiple international locations.
A cohort of 25 leaders will be selected and grouped regionally to encourage collaboration and peer learning. Participants will engage in structured leadership training, mentorship, policy discussions, and global networking opportunities.
The program focuses on preparing leaders to effectively respond to today’s complex global challenges. Fellows will participate in thematic and technical discussions aligned with regional priorities identified by the McCain Institute.
Participants will attend interactive workshops, leadership seminars, and study tours, including international visits such as Vietnam and other global destinations. These experiences are designed to broaden perspectives and enhance cross-cultural collaboration.
The fellowship emphasizes peer mentoring, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic thinking. Leaders will gain practical tools to advocate for democracy, human rights, and responsible governance in their home countries.
Throughout the year, fellows will strengthen their leadership capacity, build global partnerships, and refine their ability to design and implement impactful initiatives.

Educational Qualification
There is no minimum educational requirement for this program.

Work Experience
Applicants must be mid- to senior-career professionals.
A minimum of five years of professional experience is required.
Candidates should currently be working in leadership roles connected to global or regional thematic areas relevant to the program’s mission.
Experience in public service, civil society, international development, media, academia, advocacy, private sector leadership, or related sectors will be considered valuable.

Job Location

Employment Type and Salary
This is a fully funded leadership fellowship lasting 12 months (June 2026 – May 2027).

There is no participation fee for selected fellows.
