Job Description
The Personal Assistant will provide direct support to employees with disabilities to help them function effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Filing, organizing, and managing documents.
- Retrieving materials that are out of reach.
- Accompanying employees around the office and to meetings or workshops.
- Providing travel assistance for work-related trips.
- Reading handwritten or hardcopy materials for visually impaired employees.
- Serving as a sighted guide at events and assisting with seating.
- Helping with personal care tasks, such as eating.
- Converting inaccessible texts into accessible formats.
- Performing other tasks assigned to ensure employees can work successfully.
Educational Qualification
- BA or Diploma (Level IV Certificate) in any Social Science discipline.
Work Experience
- BA degree: 0 years required.
- Diploma: minimum 2 years of experience in personal assistance, secretarial services, or office management.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Commitment to working with persons with disabilities.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent in Amharic and English; knowledge of other local languages is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
Job Location
Hawassa City Office, Ethiopia.
Employment Type and Salary
- Six-month contract with possibility of extension.
- Monthly salary: 13,023 – 14,995 ETB.
- House allowance: 6,050 ETB.
- Transport allowance: 4,000 ETB.
