Job Description
The Human Rights Officer will conduct day-to-day monitoring of human rights situations across different sectors.
The officer will investigate complaints, document violations, and prepare analytical reports.
The role also includes supporting advocacy and campaign strategies aimed at promoting and protecting economic and social rights.
This position allows legal professionals to directly influence policy discussions and strengthen human rights protections nationwide.
Educational Qualification
• LLB or LLM Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law
Work Experience
• 4 years of relevant experience for LLB holders
• 2 years of relevant experience for LLM holders
Required Skills and Competencies
• Computer literacy
• Strong analytical and legal research skills
• Knowledge of Amharic is required
• Knowledge of other local languages is advantageous
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Commitment to human rights values and ethical conduct
