Job Description
The Purchaser / Purchasing Officer is responsible for the rapid execution of day-to-day market buying. This role focuses on sourcing immediate project needs, collecting proforma invoices, and ensuring fast turnaround for “off-the-shelf” materials and services.
The position works closely with the Procurement and Logistics Manager, Procurement Team, and technical engineers to ensure project materials are procured efficiently and delivered on time.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or logistics roles.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or civil engineering project environments is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and bidding practices.
- Experience in workforce planning, reporting, and program evaluation.
- Excellent documentation, analytical, and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Source construction-related items, tools, and consumables from local markets physically or digitally.
- Obtain at least three price quotations for each purchase to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain the Daily Purchase Log and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes.
- Manage petty cash or credit accounts with full accuracy and timely reconciliation.
- Execute urgent, short-notice orders to prevent project delays.
- Coordinate with technical engineers to provide samples or documents for approval before purchase.
