Job Description
The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring construction materials and engineering services. The role ensures that technical specifications align with project Bills of Quantities (BOQs), optimizes costs, and supports fast-paced project delivery.
This position will collaborate closely with the Procurement and Logistics team, Senior Engineers, and QA/QC departments to maintain project standards and timelines.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of progressive experience in contract administration, project follow-up, supervision, or office engineering roles.
- Experience in real estate, construction, or civil engineering projects is highly desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of contract management, bidding processes, and project follow-up.
- Proficiency in supplier evaluation, tendering, and preparing commercial/technical comparison sheets.
- Ability to coordinate logistics and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Excellent reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Teamwork, proactiveness, and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers; initiate Requests for Quotations (RFQs) based on technical specifications.
- Prepare detailed commercial and technical comparison sheets for review by senior engineers.
- Maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) and monitor supplier performance.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders for timely delivery of materials.
- Ensure received materials meet technical quality standards in collaboration with QA/QC.
- Support the procurement and logistics team in contract administration and project follow-up.
