Job Description
The Finance & Admin Officer (Accountant) will provide financial, administrative, and logistical support for the PACT program at the Wolayita Sodo cluster office.
This position ensures accurate financial management, compliance with donor regulations, and efficient use of resources.
The role includes maintaining accounting systems, preparing financial reports, managing payroll, and supporting administrative and logistical operations.
The officer will also collaborate with project staff to ensure smooth project implementation, timely reporting, and adherence to organizational policies.
This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in large-scale, multi-location development programs with national impact.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
Additional training in NGO financial management, donor compliance, or HR administration is an advantage.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years’ professional experience is required, preferably in an NGO or development organization.
Experience must include managing project finances, budgeting, cash management, donor compliance, payroll administration, and statutory obligations (tax, pension, etc.).
Experience supporting HR, administrative functions, and office logistics is desirable.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and Ethiopian tax regulations.
Experience managing donor-funded projects and ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (advanced functions preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
