Job Description
The Head of Sales Analytics & Business Intelligence will oversee and manage all tracking, reporting, and monitoring activities within the Sales and Distribution department. This role is central to ensuring accurate and actionable insights are generated to drive strategic growth across GSM and mobile money distribution channels.
This position will directly impact business performance by analyzing SIM, airtime, and device sales, monitoring M-Pesa and digital distribution, managing distributor and channel commissions, and evaluating sales team performance. The role also drives the development of sales force automation systems and automated reporting platforms to streamline data access and decision-making.

Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis
- Develop and manage comprehensive reporting frameworks for Sales and Distribution.
- Consolidate and analyze sales data from multiple regions to provide actionable insights.
- Ensure weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports are accurate, timely, and aligned with business needs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in sales performance data and present insights to senior management.
Data Management
- Maintain and enhance data collection and validation processes to ensure integrity.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to guarantee consistency and reliability of data sources.
- Implement best practices for data validation and reporting automation.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with regional sales managers to verify and contextualize sales data.
- Act as a liaison between Sales & Distribution and other business units for reporting needs.
- Provide training and guidance on data reporting tools to regional teams.
Strategic Insights
- Deliver strategic recommendations based on sales data to support performance improvement.
- Develop predictive models and forecasts to guide business planning and decision-making.
- Prepare presentations for senior management highlighting key KPIs and business insights.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data management practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices for sales analytics.
- Introduce new technologies to enhance reporting efficiency and insights.
Decision Ownership
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all reports and dashboards.
- Make decisions regarding data collection, validation, and reporting standards.
- Provide actionable recommendations to senior management for strategic initiatives.
- Lead initiatives to automate and streamline reporting processes.
Compliance and Security
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies.
- Implement security protocols to safeguard sensitive business data.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
Work Experience
- 5–7 years of senior-level experience in reporting, data analysis, or business intelligence.
- Experience in telecommunications or sales-driven industries is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in predictive modeling, sales forecasting, and decision-support analytics.
