The United Nations, through the International Trade Centre (ITC), is seeking a qualified National Project Coordinator to support the implementation of the Digital Trade Growth Project in Ethiopia. The role focuses on project coordination, research, stakeholder engagement, and analytical support to strengthen digitally enabled SMEs and inclusive digital trade ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the Digital Trade Growth project.
Contribute to market systems analysis, ecosystem mapping, and sector diagnostics in digital trade and agritech.
Coordinate stakeholder consultations, workshops, validation sessions, and pilot activities.
Conduct research, surveys, and analytical assessments; prepare conclusions and recommendations.
Draft analytical reports, background papers, and inputs for programme and project proposals.
Provide support to policy analysis related to digital trade, private sector development, gender, and environment.
Support budget coordination, financial tracking, reporting, and documentation at national level.
Engage with government institutions, private sector actors, development partners, and consultants.
Participate in field missions and contribute to mission reports and presentations.
Perform other related duties as required.
Education Requirement
Master’s degree in business administration, management, economics, or a related field.
A first-level university degree with relevant experience may be accepted.
Experience Requirement
Minimum of five years of experience in project or programme management, administration, or related fields.
Experience in digital trade, agribusiness, or agricultural projects is desirable.
Experience with Market Systems Development (MSD) approaches is an advantage.
Experience in trade-related technical assistance, export development, or private sector advisory is desirable.
Experience working with government, private sector, and development partners is an asset.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
Strong understanding of gender inclusion and sustainable development principles.
Computer literacy and familiarity with UN systems and processes are an advantage.
Language Requirement
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
