The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) invites qualified applicants for the position of Senior Officer, Business Development and Marketing Services. The role is responsible for leading business development, marketing strategy, and operational growth of the ERCS Freight Transport Services Income Generating Activity (IGA) Unit to ensure sustainability and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development policies, strategies, SOPs, service pricing manuals, and operational guidelines for the Freight Transport Services IGA unit. Prepare annual operational plans, maintain performance records, and submit periodic reports. Design and execute market expansion, customer attraction, and retention strategies to increase market share and optimize transport operations. Develop and monitor KPIs to ensure measurable performance. Conduct market assessments and feasibility studies to revise pricing structures and support business growth. Prepare promotional materials and manage branding activities. Search for bids, prepare and submit technical and financial proposals, and follow up accordingly. Conduct due diligence for partnerships, prepare MoUs, and establish collaborations with humanitarian organizations and government institutions.
Qualification Requirements
Second or First Degree in Business Management, Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Economics, Cooperative Management, or related fields.
Experience & Skills
6/8 years of relevant work experience, including 3/4 years in a senior position. Strong expertise in business development, marketing, pricing strategies, proposal preparation, and partnership development. Proven ability in performance monitoring, reporting, and operational planning.
