The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS) invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Senior Officer, Business Development and Marketing Services. The role focuses on leading business expansion, marketing strategy, and operational optimization for the ERCS Freight Transport Services Income Generating Activity (IGA) Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare business development policies, strategies, SOPs, pricing manuals, and operational guidelines for the Freight Transport Services IGA unit. Design and implement market expansion and marketing strategies to increase market share and service efficiency. Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs). Conduct market assessments and feasibility studies to revise pricing structures and support sustainable growth. Lead customer attraction and retention strategies, promotional campaigns, and branding activities. Prepare competitive technical and financial proposals, search and follow up on bids, and conduct partnership due diligence. Establish and strengthen partnerships with humanitarian organizations, government institutions, and other stakeholders. Prepare periodic performance and operational reports and support overall unit management.
Qualification Requirements
Second or First Degree in Business Management, Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Economics, Cooperative Management, or related fields.
Experience & Skills
6/8 years of relevant work experience, including 3/4 years in a senior position. Strong background in business development, marketing strategy, pricing, proposal preparation, and partnership development. Proven ability in performance tracking, reporting, and operational planning.
