Project Activities
- Facilitate three-month apprenticeship training for 200 beneficiaries in hotel/tourism and construction industries
- Coordinate one-month industrial attachment for 50 TVET trainers from Addis Ababa, Somali, and Amhara regions
- Train TVET instructors and in-company trainers on apprenticeship supervision, gender-sensitive training, and logbook use
- Establish monitoring and evaluation systems to track apprentice progress, document success stories, and inform future scaling
Job Summary
- Provide overall leadership, coordination, and technical oversight for the effective implementation of the apprenticeship program
- Ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and alignment with ILO and national standards
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee design and roll-out of the apprenticeship program, including needs assessments, beneficiary selection, and industrial attachments for TVET trainers
- Plan program delivery according to project document
- Facilitate recruitment of participants and their attachment into apprenticeship training
- Supervise development and implementation of MoUs between TVET colleges and companies, ensuring clarity of roles and compliance
- Support development of training materials and modules
- Plan industrial attachments for 50 TVET teachers
- Organize MoU signings, consultations, and stakeholder meetings
- Monitor progress and compile timely reports, documenting success stories
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with extensive experience in Project Management, Development Studies, Economics, Education, TVET, or related fields
- 7+ years’ experience coordinating/leading projects, managing donor-funded projects, preferably in TVET, skills development, employment, livelihoods, or private sector engagement
- Proven experience coordinating multi-stakeholder partnerships involving government, private sector, and international organizations

- Observe CHADET and ILO safeguarding and gender equality policies and principles in daily project implementation
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Program management knowledge related to the project
- Understanding of policies, strategies, and stakeholders related to the program
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with disadvantaged groups
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet
- Good written and spoken English
