Project Activities
- Facilitate a three-month apprenticeship training for 200 beneficiaries in hotel/tourism and construction industries
- Coordinate a one-month industrial attachment for 50 TVET trainers from Addis Ababa, Somali, and Amhara regions
- Train TVET instructors and in-company trainers on apprenticeship supervision, gender-sensitive training, and logbook use
- Establish monitoring and evaluation systems to track apprentice progress, document success stories, and support future scaling
Job Summary
- Ensure apprenticeship programs are inclusive, safe, gender-responsive, and protective of refugees, women, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups
Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrate gender equality, disability inclusion, and safeguarding principles across all project activities
- Support gender and protection-sensitive beneficiary selection and placements
- Train TVET instructors and in-company supervisors on gender-sensitive supervision, inclusion, and PSEA
- Monitor apprenticeship sites for compliance with protection and non-discrimination standards
- Establish referral and feedback mechanisms for apprentices facing protection concerns
- Contribute to reporting and documentation of gender and protection outcomes
- Ensure participation of women, refugees, and persons with disabilities
- Oversee observance of ILO and CHADET’s protection policies and ‘Do No Harm’ principles
- Coordinate action on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and referral pathways
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Work, Sociology, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in gender equality, protection, safeguarding, or social inclusion programming, preferably in TVET, livelihoods, refugee, or labor-market interventions
- Strong knowledge of gender-transformative approaches, disability inclusion, refugee protection frameworks, and safeguarding standards including PSEA
