Driver Position

Position Overview

Mercy Corps, through the Regional Livestock Program (RLP), supports communities to manage, protect, and restore rangelands, including waterpoint rehabilitation to improve access and use of water in pastoral areas.

The Driver will provide safe transportation services for Mercy Corps program and support staff, adhering to all traffic and organizational safety rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MC vehicles as assigned.
  • Maintain vehicle log-sheets according to MC policies.
  • Inspect vehicles regularly and report issues.
  • Ensure vehicle readiness, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Assist with logistics in office and guesthouse as needed.
  • Support staff and visitors, troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Undertake field assignments as assigned.
  • Follow all MC policies and procedures.
  • Conduct oneself professionally to represent Mercy Corps positively.

Supervision: Reports directly to the Logistic Officer
Collaboration: Works closely with the RLP Team
