Job Overview
World Vision Ethiopia is seeking a Biometertian to ensure accurate beneficiary identification using digital technology (Mobile App) according to the Global Distribution Tool (GDT). The role involves close coordination with crowd controllers, Admitters, and other key actors in food assistance programs.
Education
Degree / Diploma in ICT with training in digital technology such as GDT, LMMS, or related systems
Experience
Minimum 2 years in a similar or related position in food assistance projects
Language
Good command of oral and written English
Key Responsibilities
- Verify beneficiaries in coordination with Admitters and crowd controllers
- Refer beneficiaries failing verification to WFP litigation teams
- Direct beneficiaries to commodity collection centers
- Coordinate and cross-check with Admitters, registration, and litigation teams
- Perform field assignments in difficult terrain and harsh conditions
- Maintain accurate reporting of beneficiary verification and distribution activities
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to travel for field assignments
- Computer literacy is an advantage
- Office-based work with periodic travel to the field
- Valid National or Local ID required
- Background suitable for working with children and vulnerable adults
