Position Summary
The Senior Project Officer II – Soil Health and Fertility Management will plan, implement, monitor, and report ADEY program interventions related to soil health and fertility management. The role provides technical guidance to regional partners and youth enterprises, with strong emphasis on youth employment, particularly for young women, and integration of soil health practices into ACC initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement soil health and fertility management activities aligned with ADEY and ACC programs.
Support youth enterprise creation in soil fertility agribusiness, including vermicompost, compost, lime, and related technologies.
Provide technical and business advisory services to youth and women entrepreneurs.
Strengthen market linkages among input suppliers, producers, processors, and buyers.
Build capacity of extension systems on soil fertility, acidity, salinity, and on-farm soil management.
Coordinate stakeholders from government, NGOs, private sector, and research institutions.
Monitor progress, manage budgets, and prepare timely technical and progress reports.

Education
Master’s degree in Soil Science, Natural Resource Management, Agronomy, or related field.

Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in job creation or enterprise development projects.

Skills & Competencies
Strong project management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Hands-on experience with soil fertility technologies integrated with youth job creation.
Strong English communication skills; proficiency in relevant regional language required.
Entrepreneurial mindset, teamwork, integrity, and passion for smallholder farmer development.
