Procurement Officer

Job Summary
Walia Steel Industry is seeking a qualified Procurement Officer to source, purchase, and manage goods and services in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner. The role ensures the availability of materials while maintaining quality standards and strong supplier relationships.

Job Responsibilities
Plan and execute procurement of goods, materials, and services.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with user departments.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier databases.
Prepare procurement reports and cost analysis.

Job Requirements

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience
Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant procurement experience.
Experience in manufacturing or construction is an advantage.

Skills and Competencies
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Knowledge of procurement procedures and contract management.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
Good communication and analytical skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
