Job Summary
The Trainee Banker position is designed for recent graduates who aspire to build a career in banking and finance. The role provides hands-on exposure to the Bank’s operations, financial products, and customer service processes. Trainees will gain practical experience in accounting, finance, banking operations, and administrative support while developing professional skills to advance within the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day banking operations under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist in handling customer accounts, transactions, and banking inquiries.
- Learn and apply standard banking procedures, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in financial reporting, data entry, and documentation of banking operations.
- Support internal auditing and reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in training programs to develop technical skills in accounting, finance, and banking.
- Contribute to special projects or initiatives as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education:
- BA degree from a recognized higher learning institution in Accounting and Finance, Banking & Finance, Management, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Not required. The position is open to recent graduates from the years 2023 or 2024.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.25.
Language:
- Proficiency in Afaan Oromo is required.
Additional Requirements:
- Applicants are required to pass the Bank’s exit exam.
