Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Manager, IT Application and Program Management Department, the Trainee Banker (Junior IT Application Management Officer) will support the management, maintenance, and optimization of the Bank’s business applications and software systems. This position is designed for fresh graduates seeking to build a career in banking application management, system support, and IT service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Support and maintain banking applications, including core banking and auxiliary systems.
Monitor application performance, availability, and system health.
Assist with application configuration, version control, and patch management.
Support troubleshooting of application-related issues and coordinate with vendors or internal teams.
Participate in testing, deployment, and post-implementation review of new or enhanced applications.
Maintain application documentation, user manuals, and change records.
Assist in user access management and application security controls.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager, IT Application and Program Management Department.
Requirements
Education
BSc degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
No prior work experience required. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Skills and Competencies
Basic understanding of software applications and the system development life cycle.
Familiarity with databases, application servers, and operating systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of software testing, debugging, or application support concepts is preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Willingness to learn and work in a structured banking IT environment.
