Job Summary
Education Development Trust is seeking a Senior Regional Education Technical Lead to provide leadership to regional teams for our new education and skills programme in Ethiopia. The programme aims to strengthen secondary education by equipping students with relevant skills, knowledge, and attitudes, ensuring a successful transition to tertiary education or the workforce through enhanced implementation of the competency-based curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and overall responsibility for the effective and timely implementation of programme activities in the assigned regions.
- Manage and lead a team to deliver programme objectives at high standards.
- Contribute to the design and development of training programmes, including teacher professional development and school leadership initiatives.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the programme, including curriculum, teacher training, leadership development, monitoring, and inclusion, are delivered effectively and adapted to local contexts.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with stakeholders across multiple organizations, including regional governments and training colleges.
- Oversee financial management aspects of regional programmes, including budgeting, cost control, and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading a workstream of an education or skills programme.
- Education specialist knowledge in areas such as education policy, curriculum development, teacher development, school leadership, or technical and careers education.
- Experience designing and delivering teacher professional development or school leadership training.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across multiple organisations and seniority levels.
- Financial management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
