Purpose of Service:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered psychological care to UN staff and eligible beneficiaries
- Enhance mental health, psychological resilience, and overall well-being of the UN community
- Support the UN Health Care Center’s mission to deliver comprehensive medical and psychological services
Work Location: ECA
Expected Duration: 9 months
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders
- Offer crisis intervention and support for acute psychological emergencies, collaborating with medical staff for high-risk cases
- Educate patients and families on mental health promotion, coping strategies, and relapse prevention
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential clinical records and prepare reports for referring clinicians
- Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding psychological findings and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions
- Ensure adherence to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and UN policies regarding mental health care and confidentiality
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient management plans
Qualifications / Special Skills:
- First-level university degree qualifying for registration as a licensed clinical psychologist
- Current, unrestricted registration with the medical licensing authority of a UN Member State
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible clinical experience as a clinical psychologist
Languages:
- Fluency in oral and written English required
- Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
