Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure service performance exceeds customer expectations and differentiates DHL from competitors.
• Build and maintain relationships with key strategic customers to support retention and business growth.
• Protect and promote DHL’s brand with customers, partners, industry bodies, trade unions, and government entities.
• Achieve annual business targets including revenue, cash flow, profit, and service levels; take corrective action when needed.
• Develop local tactical plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
• Provide strong leadership to communicate and execute agreed strategies and goals.
• Contribute to regional strategy with insights from local market dynamics.
• Drive revenue yield enhancement and market share growth.
• Monitor market trends and competitor actions.
• Continuously improve business processes to increase productivity and enhance service.
• Ensure financial health and compliance with legal, statutory, and DHL standards.
• Strengthen liquidity through effective capital and debtor management.
• Implement actions to enhance service and transit time while controlling costs.
• Define organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and performance targets.
• Allocate resources and motivate staff to achieve global, regional, and country objectives.
Education & Experience:
• University degree with relevant commercial/business qualifications.
• Extensive senior or general management experience in express, logistics, aviation, or similar service industries.
• Strong understanding of all business functions and proven P&L management experience.
• High business acumen with awareness of economic factors affecting planning.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills aligned with DHL values.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
