Field Medic (Re-Advertised)

About the Role
The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a qualified Field Medic to support its humanitarian mine action program in Tigray. The position provides essential medical care and advisory support to field teams and ensures compliance with DRC’s medical and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical aid and health guidance to deployed teams.
- Maintain medical readiness and conduct regular casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) drills.
- Ensure medical compliance with DRC Humanitarian Disarmament and Peacebuilding (HDP) standards.
- Support investigations of medical incidents and compile accurate reports.
- Supervise and train staff on field health and safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Nursing.
- At least 2 years of relevant medical field experience.
- Experience in mine action or NGO settings is an advantage.
- Fluent in Tigrigna and intermediate in English.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
