Job Description
Plan International is hiring an SRHR Officer to support implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) interventions under the Safe Futures Project. The role focuses on reducing barriers to SRHR access, supporting survivors of SGBV, and strengthening gender-responsive, inclusive services in the Benishangul-Gumuz region.
Role Purpose
The SRHR Officer will oversee SRHR and SGBV activities, strengthen partnerships with local institutions and community structures, and ensure survivors—particularly women and girls—access safe, quality, and inclusive services. The position plays a key role in supporting livelihoods, advocacy, and survivor-centered approaches to recovery and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement SRHR, SGBV, and FGM-related activities.
- Build strong partnerships with government and community actors.
- Support inclusive and survivor-centered service delivery.
- Conduct awareness, capacity-building, and advocacy sessions.
- Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and project evaluation.
- Ensure safeguarding and gender equality are integrated in all activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in SRH, Public Health, Social Work, or Sociology.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in SRHR, SGBV, or FGM programs.
- Solid understanding of Ethiopian SRHR and SGBV policies and frameworks.
- Experience with survivor-centered and participatory approaches.
- Strong communication, networking, and advocacy skills.
