Job Description
Plan International is seeking a qualified SRHR Coordinator to lead and implement the Safe Futures Project—empowering adolescents and youth, especially girls and young women, to access gender-responsive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services and end gender-based violence (GBV) and harmful practices like FGM/C in four targeted woredas (Bambasi, Homosha, Assosa Town, and Ura).
Role Purpose
The SRHR Coordinator will oversee project implementation, ensure delivery of results, build local capacity, and strengthen the primary healthcare system to expand SRHR access. The position plays a vital role in promoting gender equality, safeguarding, and the rights of adolescents and young women.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SRHR program planning, delivery, monitoring, and reporting.
- Strengthen community and healthcare systems for SRHR access.
- Coordinate with partners to prevent GBV and FGM/C.
- Build capacity of local stakeholders and youth groups.
- Promote gender equality and inclusion in all activities.
- Ensure safeguarding and ethical compliance across the project.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Reproductive Health, Public Health, Sociology, Social Work, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience (3 years with NGOs).
- Strong background in adolescent SRHR, GBV prevention, and healthcare system strengthening.
- Experience in project cycle management and results-based programming.
- Knowledge of gender equality, child protection, and community development.
- Good analytical, coordination, and reporting skills.
